Vida Vegan Con Scavenger Hunt Recap. June 5, 2015. The last Vida Vegan Con has come and gone! We ate some seriously good food, we drank all the dranks, and we hung out with scores of insanely amazing people. We took on a lot with organizing a kick-ass scavenger hunt and after-party, and may have forgotten to factor hours in the day to sleep, but it was all worth it in the end. It’s not going to rain on my parade! Form a mini-parade with at least three umbrellas. Swim in a sea of your VVC Swag. Who took a...

Jacked-up Jackfruit | Vegging Out
https://veggingoutinttown.wordpress.com/2013/06/10/jacked-up-jackfruit
I have eaten jackfruit a few times and have long been curious to cook with it at home. Over a year ago, Mr. X and I tried some barbecue jackfruit tacos from the Seabirds truck. Which we absolutely loved. When Elise posted about barbecue jackfruit. Recently and I already had a trip to the Thai market planned for our Sri Lanka meal, I knew the timing was meant to be. I decided to go a step further and add fried avocado wedges, too, based on another Seabirds taco. The combination was wonderful! We are eatin...

Here I am loaded up to head down to the Avila Beach Farmer’s Market. For the Cal Poly Organic Farm. It’s a pretty nice spot to work. So that was probably the biggest and furthest unassisted haul I’ve done. It was a doozy for sure, but fun (especially in retrospect). Ride Here it is loaded up with veggies from Wormy Acres Farm.
