In January Mike and I went up Eagle's Eye for breakfast super early in the morning. We just rode the gondie back down, but it was really pretty. And really cold! Here is the ride up. The first one is a groomer, the second is the resort and the third is Golden! These are from just walking around the summit before we went inside for breakfast! This one I took from inside the restaurant. And then after we were done, we did another walk about. I clearly took more than one camera :P. On to the fire dancers!

Not the Skyrim helmet (part IV). Here we are- finally, photos of the con! We stayed at a hotel on the LRT line, as demanded by Emma. It worked out super great! But first, here are some photos of the drive there. It is really pretty when it's not snowing or dark or terrible. :P. They picked Emma up from the airport on while I finished my cosplay. Finally got all the negatives scanned from the last year. still need to get the slide film developed. its becoming more and more difficult to do, which sucks, because slide film is rad. When i first arrived, we got a special tour of kicking horse and it included meeting boo, the resident grizzly bear. i was smart enough to take my 135mm lens, so its kind of like i cheated! These were shot on kodak portra 800. Boo is not your regular bear. he's on 20 acres, and can be considered wild. On to the photos!

What a crazy thunderstorm. So yesterday at work a storm came up over the mountain (it hardly ever happens, usually storms stay in the valley) and we got dumped on by rain, but higher up there was also hail. we were just about closing, so some people were stuck up top, and had to be picked up by the bear refuge staff on the way down.
