TURN ME ON, DAMMIT! I cant remember the last time I liked a new movie as much as I liked Turn Me On, Dammit. The film centers around Alma, a sexually frustrated teenage girl played by Helene Bergsholm, who might just be a long lost Fanning sister. Whats so perfect about this story is not only that it brings to light the amazing fact that teenage girls think about sex. Here is the trailer:. And here are some cool posters:. Cire Trudon Odalisque Matches, $12. For posting this earlier today - you made my ...

I also got to spend time with folks I don't know nearly well enough and meet a slew of good new ones! However, one downside of going above and beyond my normal level of social interaction was that I went through spells of complete brain death. To the lovely people who I could only respond to with blank stares and jumbled thoughts that sounded bad in my head and worse when said aloud, my apologies. Here's to a next time if you'll have me? Anyway, here are my disposable camera pix! Slurpin' slurpees. D...

ventricular projects: January 2012
http://ventricularprojects.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Don't let our youth go to waste. Spring keeps threatening to come to town in full force and then, sadly, retreating. Still.I can't complain considering for the first time in four years, I can wear whatever shoes I want in January without the fear of them being destroyed by gray slush. Freedom! Luckily, though, while I wait for Austin to go into full bloom for two perfect months before sweltering heat takes over, bits of spring can be found indoors. There is also always more room for Stella McCartney!

I've never been too good at the suburbs (give me as many people squished into a square mile and not interacting with each other as possible, please), but I certainly appreciate good landscaping.especially when I'm trying to finish a roll of film. If and when I have a properly green lawn of my own, I imagine it will be full of secrets, reminiscent of "The Gardener", which always fighting with (and sometimes beating) "King of Spain" as my favorite Tallest Man on Earth song. I used this recipe. I'm pretty s...

RIP ventricular projects.HELLO FANGIRL! ventricular projects: telluride
http://ventricularprojects.blogspot.com/2012/09/telluride.html
It turns out that I picked the perfect weekend - the aspen trees were at their brightest goldenrod and I got to skip out on the Texas heat for a bit and break out my ankle boots and a light jacket. Telluride has a fairly tiny year-round population, but there's usually a festival in town (the film festival and Blues and Brews are the biggest, but there are so many more) and, of course, ski season is a big deal, but I'm not one for winter sports so I'm happy to have missed those crowds. Super into the blac...

I came across Penny Davenport. S work a while back, and the curious expressions of her cast of illustrated characters haven't quite left my head every since.
