View from the Attic: springing ahead

http://viewfromtheattic.blogspot.com/2014/03/springing-ahead.html

View from the Attic. Under the eaves with paper, glue and paint. Visit the web site. Saturday, March 1. Deciding to move more into art with my collage work is a new "season" for me. Like Spring, there is a freshness to it, growth. There is also uncertainty, but the promise of something new softens the anxiety of it, makes it feel more like anticipation. So I dropped a few more apps in the mail today, burned some CD's of images. Realized I have a lot of growing to do in this new art. Good thing it's Spring.

View from the Attic: I hate this but I am going to do it anyway

View from the Attic. Under the eaves with paper, glue and paint. Visit the web site. Wednesday, January 1. I hate this but I am going to do it anyway. Assessing the year about to pass. I hate it. I think I hate it mostly because of the endless parade, on TV and in print, of people who died this year. And the resolutions. Ack! The endless resolutions to be thinner, richer, kinder, smarter come the new year. All of this makes me a bit uneasy. Which is good, I think. Better to live on the edge than ...The d...

View from the Attic. Under the eaves with paper, glue and paint. Visit the web site. Saturday, February 21. That was your consumer alert for the day :). I also found an earring that was 1/2 of a pair I bought at Mt Gretna last Summer and absolutely loved. How it got up there, I have no idea. Now I have to remember where I put the other one. After I finished upstairs, I baked bread and made marinara sauce and there is baked ziti in the oven. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). So, this is my little window...

View from the Attic. Under the eaves with paper, glue and paint. Visit the web site. Sunday, September 1. So, the thing with cancer is that even when you're done with it, you may not be done with it. It is a sneaky, foxy disease. Like the cell that snuck back in last year just when I thought all was well. Zap! This time all was well again. I knew it, I thought. Deep down. heh. I wondered what lurked inside the waiting patients. were there cancers to be detected, cures to be pronounced? It was simple for ...

Through the Looking Glass | Just another photoblog

Through the Looking Glass. This one is of me when I was probably about 6 or 7. It also really makes me miss home! Circa 1984 I’ve always had a very strong relationship with my grandparents. I wouldn’t be the person I am today if it wasn’t for them. I love everything about this picture! Some of them might not be the best quality, but it’s the story behind them that is the most important! View From The Apple House

View From The Apple House. Honeymoon Stories: My Favorite Hat. August 12, 2015. The day had been as equally glorious on the waters of Alex Bay as the previous ones. The sunshine was bright, necessitating us to don our straw hats the rest of the afternoon. The morning had been spent lounging on the boat, as any good honeymooner would do, and we were no different. By all accounts, it was the perfect day. It wasn’t until I lived on the edges of Lake Ontario that I was slowly, yet cautiously, learned t...

The View From the Back Pew

The View From the Back Pew. A retired minister looks at the world around him from a different perspective - the back pew.
