Quilting, knitting, crafting. Monday, June 29, 2015. I finished another UFO, using up more of my stash in the process. Last October, I saw the free pattern for the Trail Tote. And thought it looked like my kind of bag. It was a pattern by Anna Graham of Noodlehead, the designer of the Open Wide bag, that I keep making. There is a nice deep zippered pocket on the outside, for my keys and phone. Though the picture doesn't show it very well, the bag also has batik piping. I added a zipper to the top, instea...

Grandma Coco's Designs: March 2015

Some of our Favourite Drawings. Pincushion Contest (for the rest of us) 2015 Entries. Sunday, March 29, 2015. All the way from New Zealand. Jean sent her pincushion entry. She says it's a genuine NZ Pine tree log pincushion. NZ stands for New Zealand, because that's where she lives. Isn't that exciting? She took a photograph of a slice from a tree, printed it onto photo fabric, cut and stitched, and ended up with this very inventive pincushion. The Real NZ Pincushion (Top) made by Jean. Some of our Favourite Drawings. Pincushion Contest (for the rest of us) 2015 Entries. Saturday, May 30, 2015. Never mind that it's HOT here in the Kingdom today, with very high humidity. Not really hot cocoa weather, but I tried to ignore the heat by sitting in the breeze from the fan and playing with the fondant, with no one to scold me if I blended the colours. As for the Smiley Sweater. I've added beads to the 'Say, "Cheese! Links to this post. Thursday, May 28, 2015. It occurs to me that this is much...

Some of our Favourite Drawings. Pincushion Contest (for the rest of us) 2015 Entries. Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Time to get spiffed up for the party (under Paddy's watchful eye). All that's left of 2014 is the big finale. And to that end, we've got the Chex Party Mix in the oven. Yes. That's how old we are. We make Chex Party Mix, which we learned when we searched online for the recipe 'has been a family favourite for over 50 years'. Sigh. Links to this post. Wednesday, December 17, 2014. I like to t...
