These pictures show why the Village needs to upgrade it's water system. Iron water mains made in the late 1950's have a concrete lining to prevent rusting like we have. Vermont's mains were made in the 1940's. We don't have a piece of 2 in main to show. Willow street is served with a 2 in main and has very low flow.

Kentucky Raid of 1847. Cass County was originally inhabited by three bands of Potawatomi Indians while development brought European settlers to the area in the 1820s. The County was organized in 1829 and named after Lewis Cass, the former territorial governor. An old Indian Trail ran east-west across the southern portion of the County which later became U.S. 12 and for a while was the primary transportation route from Chicago to Detroit.
