Rooms – Village Viking B & B

Is a large room in the new section of the house. It has a queen size bed, and a private 3-piece bathroom is just outside the door. Two nearby entrances give you easy access to the front door and back patio. 85 per night, single or double occupancy. Is a smaller room located in the original part of the house, built in 1891. The quaint style of that era is evident in the bedroom and the staircase leading to it. The room holds a double bed, and a 3-piece bathroom is downstairs. We accept Cash or Credit.

Food allergies can be accommodated. Gallery of the Common Area in the house:. The house’s large entryway takes you to the Royal Room or the living room. The living room offers a lovely place to sit and relax. Feel free to observe village life through the large windows, try your hand at the piano or enjoy a coffee and a conversation or a quiet book. You’re always welcome here. Breakfast is served each morning in the dining room. During the day, enjoy a coffee and a snack or play a hand of cards.

About Us – Village Viking B & B

Ruth and Paul Olafson have lived in Thornhill for 18 years. They have three children: a daughter, living in Calgary with her husband and child; a son, who lives in Taiwan with his wife and two children; and a daughter who lives in England with her husband and dog. Olaf the Village Viking is a tribute to Paul’s Icelandic roots. Ruth’s English background can be seen in the decoration of the Royal and Heritage rooms. Ruth loves art as shown in the many sculptures throughout the home. We accept Cash or Credit.
