Andre Scherer Pinot Noir 2012 - $16. Now I'm intrigued. Would this wine really work with fish? Fortunately, right across the street we have an excellent fishmonger, Slammin' Salmon. So I run over and ask for a variety of fish. Lisa cut me some choice Sole, Tuna, Salmon and Swordfish. Not only would this be a test of red wine and fish pairings but also make a good review for myself of fish flavor and texture. I think its always beneficial to taste things side by side to compare and contrast.

For a list of what's in our cellar. I think the highlight of the tasting were some small batch rums. One of those Rums was Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva. A twelve-year-old rum that had a mature, molassassy, honeyed sweetness but also toasty, nutty and spicy notes all mingled together. Unfortunately only about 150 bottles were brought to the US and they've all been spoken for. I'm glad I got to taste it and looking forward to getting on that list at some point.
