The InstiKater: September 2008
http://theinstikater.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 24, 2008. I just love her! Just felt the need to express how much I admore my darling little angel, Charlotte. I had no idea I could love anyone this much (sorry Dave, it is just different). She is, at the age of almost 2, sometimes exasperating but sometimes so adorable I just want to get a spoon and eat her up! She is currently in her crib shouting "big sister! But for now, I'm off to relax, we had a tiring day at the zoo and my feet are swollen a bit and my back is tired. So I...

The InstiKater: April 2008
http://theinstikater.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 18, 2008. I'm 13 weeks now, due Oct. 25. This baby and CJ will be nearly exactly 2 years apart. I'm feeling better, sort of. No more puking :-) but lots of just plain feeling crappy every evening and some mornings. I'm definitely starting to show, but I can still wear regular clothes. I nap pretty much every day while Charlotte does and I wonder if it will ever end. Will I be tired for the next 18 years? I participated in the making of a prenatal bellydance DVD and am interested to see the ...

The InstiKater: March 2008
http://theinstikater.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 28, 2008. Finally- a sign of life! You may have wondered what happened to me. Looks like my last post was on Feb.10 and on the 12th I got great news! This is how we told my mom:. But the thing is, I've been feeling terrible. Not as bad as some women, but worse than with Charlotte. It is amazing how used to throwing up you can get. You just have to move on. But I thought I'd post a pic of Charlotte in her beautiful special dress from Uncle Andy (Godfather):. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The InstiKater: March 2009
http://theinstikater.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 05, 2009. Relaxing on a sunny day. I am enjoying a day without a nap. I finally feel good again! About two weeks ago, I got a cold. Then I concurrently got a UTI (thankfully, my dear Dr. Andy was able to prescribe me some stuff since I couldn't get to my doctor). Then Charlotte got some sort of stomach/poop bug that lasted FOUR days. Then as she got better, I got it! But it only lasted a couple of days and Henry never got it. A margarita in the middle of the day? And though "daytime drink...

The InstiKater: August 2010
http://theinstikater.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 19, 2010. Duck, Duck, GOOSE! Last night Charlotte wanted to play a game with me. Henry was in the sandbox and Dave was cleaning up dinner dishes. She said she wanted to play duck duck goose. The following is a transcript of this event. Kate: Okay, how do you play? CJ: You sit in a circle and touch peoples heads and say duck and then goose and then you run. Kate: so do we need another person to play? CJ: no, we can do it. We sit in a "circle" across from each other]. CJ: I'll go first.

The InstiKater: November 2008
http://theinstikater.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 22, 2008. Okay, reading the beginning of the last post, well, things have changed. In the time since then, Henry has gotten increasingly fussy. I have come to accept that he likely has colic. But that hopefully at 6 weeks (just after the peak of fussiness) he will get better. IF not, then maybe at 12 weeks. It is easier if I just think "two more weeks.". This morning I greeted my husband by yelling "I'm going to fucking kill someone if I don't get some god-damn sleep! Charlotte just ad...

The InstiKater: November 2011
http://theinstikater.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 05, 2011. Pete’s due date was Sunday, October 30. Not only was I certain I’d have him before then, but I was sure he’d be such a quick birth, like Henry, I was afraid of having him in my pants! I was getting pretty impatient with his arrival and was up Thursday, Nov. 3 at about 4 am. No contractions, just couldn’t sleep. When Dave got up at 5 for a run I told him to go ahead and run far away as nothing was going to happen here! At about 10:15 I got the epidural and aside from a nick to...

The InstiKater: February 2009
http://theinstikater.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 24, 2009. Charlotte is super cute, talks all the time, likes to sing, loves the snow. She stomps one foot into the snow along the driveway all the way down. I'm not sure why this is so interesting, but she's been doing it for months. Getting out with the two kids is getting easier, or I'm just getting used to it. But I'm getting desperate to get out withOUT the kids and maybe WITH my husband. Need a date night soon! I plan to try to do more with tomatoes this fall and dry some and can s...

Life of Jason: March 2006
http://jwin.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 31, 2006. One of the dances involved dancing with swords (seriously, they had swords. it was cool). The dancers balanced the swords lengthwise on their heads and managed to move their bodies while keeping their heads still such that the swords didn't fall. It was an impressive display to say the least. Posted by KzooJason at 6:10 PM. Wednesday, March 22, 2006. On one dive we swam through the iron and wood skeleton of an elevator shaft. We were at about 40 feet but the shaft itself actua...
