Following my crochet projects and other hobbies. Tuesday, July 30, 2013. Here we are at the end of July. It has been a hot summer and the last three days have been in the low 60's. It feels like fall is starting and we really have another month of heat coming our way. The weather has been really odd this year. Anyway, I finally finished this shawl. Thursday, 8 March 2012. A few months ago, my sister and I would sit around, drink tea (and lattes), and talk big. About making and creating and selling (and also about leaving our jobs to sit around making stuff and drinking tea). Then came the email. I've booked a stall at the Hanging Rock Market. Whoa now, not so fast. A stall? Don't you know I've only made just one or two little things? I have a job, and a husband, and children. And I have Doctor Who to watch. This is our dream, for goodness sake!

Thursday, 29 December 2011. Crafted Christmas Pressies - Part 2. In the end I had ran out of time. I had planned to stitch the snowflakes onto some red felt cut in a circle but it was Christmas Eve and my husband phoned to say he was just leaving work so I just attached them. Even though they're starched they're still floppy so i'll take them down and fix that part. The crochet stockings were made using Angie's Le Monde de Sucrettes Little Christmas Socks. Bella Bee And Me. Join me in my adventures with knitting, crochet, sewing and thrifting with a bit of day to day life thrown in too! Tuesday, 21 February 2012. It's the GAP-tastic cowl MkII. Pattern: GAP-tastic Cowl by Jen Geigley on Ravelry. Yarn: King Cole Comfort Chunky. Total yarn used: 200g. Total price: £5.98 (£2.99 per 100g). I used the long tail cast on and Elizabeth Zimmermann's sewn bind off to make sure it had plenty of stretch. The yarn was ideal for this project, lovely and thick and soft.
