It's lovely to be able to have the window open now when it's raining without the worry of rain coming in. Someone popped up just as I took this shot! Those clouds are heavy. Sunday, February 16, 2014. I am loving the way this first term of school is going. Slow and meaningful living. We only have to go into town once a week now for activities, which makes it a busy day but I would still rather that than having to rush into town several times a week. Tuesday, September 23, 2014. What's happening in the garden at the moment? The apricot tree has flowered and now has small apricots on it. After these photo's were taken I put the fruit fly net on it. We usually are eating the fruit in November. The next tree that is in flower is the nectarine. I have pruned this tree quite severely as I wanted the tree to be more in the shape of a vase which is supposed to help keep the air flow better around the tree. The peach tree hasn't flowered yet. Thursday, January 22, 2015. Food, Food and more Food! Corn has done well this year. I wish I planted more though. This one is called Honey and Cream. Jess and I have been busy peeling cherry tomatoes. Although this sounds tedious, the task only takes us around 10min for half a kilo. We cut a small slit in them and then pour over boiling water and let them sit for a few minutes, then the skins slip easily off.
