Monday, April 30, 2012. Software developers develop software. Coming soon, to a phone you don't own. A year ago, on a plane, I wrote an app for my phone. It's a simple application, just calculates swim, run, and bike workouts like distance, time, and pace. I called it Race Pace. But I didn't do much else with it. I use it almost daily when talking about races or long rides. "5k in 20 minutes is how fast? I should be able to do the swim at 1:35/100 pace; how long will that take? The internet tells me.

Wednesday, February 8, 2012. Welcome to Gout, population Chad. Recently my foot swelled up, and I couldn't walk for a week, bike for a month, or run for 6 weeks. After almost two months of head scratching (and 2 bad gout attacks) the doctor testing my uric acid levels and determined I've got gout.
