A Navigation to Nowhere. The Weight of History. I use photographic and cinematographic techniques to engage China’s hysterical growth, and analyze the debris of history in industrial and post-industrial societies. In addition to making images and visual narratives of urban transformation, social displacement, dispossession, ruins and ruination, I also seek to bring art into scholarship, and vice versa, as well as to explore the entangled relation between politics and aesthetics.
