Gearing up to the Queen's diamond Jubilee here's a couple of ideas I was playing with that seemed fitting for the occasion. What more to represent the Queen than the Royal Mail's stamps featuring here portrait? Here's my take on the queens stamps and happy Jubilee to all! Are replacing their usual AR logo for an ER in commemoration of the queens 60th year on the throne. They asked several of the agency's artists to work their magic on customising the logo. As further development of their rebranding project, Law firm Venner Shippley asked me to come up with a range of spot illustration icons that they could use to represent their various areas of expertise. I was asked to participate in this interesting project - Secret 7". In conjunction with Universal Music and The Teenage Cancer Trust. Aiming to rekindle the interest in vinyl sleeve artwork, various artists were invited to create designs inspired by one of seven tracks from the likes of the Cure, Bombay Bicycle Club and Noah and the Whale. My illustration for the May/June issue of National Geographic Traveller sits along side an article about how the guidebooks may bang on about the all the amazing things you can expect of a country like the sights and culture but they never seem to mention the local wildlife including the creepy crawlies!
