The downwards journey was tougher than expected. The endless steps were extremely strenuous on my knee-joints, I used to think that going up the steps is bad enough; going down is worse. Friday, June 5, 2009. Day 1 - Monday, 18 May 2009. Lazy me took a day-off so as to ‘rest well’ for the Quest tomorrow. By 3pm, Lynn and Joyce gathered at my place. We bought the travel insurance, did some last minute check before heading for the airport. Yucky Lunch @ Changi Airport T1 Imperial Treasure. In the end, we only managed to check-in 2 big bags and one hand carry! Luckily, the flight was not full and we were not stopped from boarding the flight. Conclusion: Air Asia is weird. But what to do?

Thursday, June 11, 2009. A few lessons learnt from this trip:-. Mountain climbing is not meant for people with short legs (inspired by Joyce). Persistance and determination are the necessary ingredients for success (inspired. By Qin and Ping). One should never overestimate one's abilities (inspired by Lynn). Always respect your body! Though this was the most torturing trip we ever had, it strengthened our friendship even more. We decided that, one day, we would travel the world together, with a backpack.
