I then used the selection tool and layer mask to take the portion of the images that I wanted to use for my cover. I used the free transform tool in order to place the image on the cover. Photo Manipulation →. October 8, 2015. Here I found another image of a dancer, I used the selection tool and layer mask in order to create a transparent image of the second dancer. Then, I duplicated the image to the original image and used the free transform tool to place it. Here I used the text box tool to add the words to the image.
