The heat, the humidity and everything that goes with them conspire to make me utterly miserable. I have a form of Seasonal Affective Disorder but instead of depression from lack of sunlight, I feel sad because there’s too much. There is one thing that cheers me up (other than air-conditioning) and that is the fantastic spread of fruit and vegetables that Summer brings.
