Thursday, April 14, 2011. Found this picture off a friend's facebook page. As the truck driver, I imagine he had many an onlooker when this one got loaded up on the back of his trailer. I can only wonder what the vision of the new owner is for this old pop top, but regardless, it is wonderful to know another van has been saved from it's likely fate of rust and decay. Great dollar store, great shops down by the pier and of course the LORDCO. My saviour, LORDCO had a fuel pump that fit. Like new, we were back in action. I've been doing a lot of whining and crying to my friends over the pond about the crappy weather and how we have been waiting for so long for winter to end. But I thought it best that I actually show everyone what I am bitching about. It is nearly APRIL. and I have to tell you this is NOT normal weather. Usually the snow is nearly gone by the end of March (or at least a ton has melted). But this year, the melting hasn't even started yet! You would cry too.

The fire devastated a community, leaving 374 properties destroyed, including the public library, municipal buildings, businesses and residences.
