Monday, December 7, 2009. My friend Rachel and I spent the weekend in Bariloche, one of the most popular vacation spots in Argentina. It was so beautiful and relaxing. The town is along the Andes Mountains in the Lake District of Argentina. The town is surrounded with snow capped mountains and overlooks a big beautiful lake. Rachel Gearing up for the trip. Sunday, May 16, 2010. My friend Astrid came over for tea today and she made me a very portaño teatime snack, Choco-Tarantela. And I must say, the only thing better than chocolate, dulce de leche, coffee, or cream cheese is chocolate, dulce de leche, coffee, AND cream cheese! We first started by dipping these chocolate cookies into coffee and laying them side by side on a plate. Then, we mixed the dulce de leche and cream cheese to spread over the cookies. I had a vague idea of where I was going, but it was still a little daunting when my bus dropped me off on the side of a highway and told me to head up this little dirt road and eventually turn right. Friday, November 27, 2009. Look Whitney our friend got her arm back! I think her friends were embarrassed so they helped her out and found her dress for her. But you are right. She is definitely looking a little rough. She can't stand up strait so she has to stabilize herself against the wall. And check out these eyes. Prom night gone bad. Thursday, November 26, 2009. First of all, my hostal has a nice garden, patio and hammock! And since it is spring here there are lots of lovely purple and yellow blooms.

Sunday, April 25, 2010. Unfortunately, you can not see the design very well in most of them. But some of them had really detailed work. Yay for fun Easter traditions in Buenos Aires. However, I should mention, this may have been the only way someone would have know it was Easter. The church service certainly didn't give it away. Friday, February 26, 2010. While there were several tea houses to choose from in this tinny little village I choose Plas y Coed, which is run by the original owner's granddaughter. This cute little house dons tons of Welsh decor and apparently reflects Welsh architecture. All the tea house serves is afternoon tea. It is a set menu and a set price. They brought me tons of pastries and a large pot of black tea. While this is clearly toooo much for any one person to eat, I was sure to try everything. I love...

Saturday, August 29, 2009. I fell asleep listening to my new book club book last night. I think this one is going to be really good. (I know, I know.
