Your training walks don’t need to be exactly the same distance as the Walk for Freya but you should try out your trainer and sock combination to make sure you don’t get any blisters. What You Need To Know. Training & sponsorship. Please make sure you keep an eye on the weather in the days preceding the walk and come prepared for all eventualities, we’d suggest you think about the following;. A hat in case it’s sunny you’ll be out walking for a few hours. A bottle of water there will be some water stations along the route but it’s always best to have some with you in case you need extra. A jumper just in case it clouds over. Suncream better to be prepared than to get burnt!

What You Need To Know. Training & sponsorship. What you’ll see along the route. The walk will start from Himley Hall and you’ll be clearly directed to the starting point. You’ll need to register to say you’ve arrived and then you’ll be free to take part in the warm-up and get to know your fellow walkers. There’ll be an instructor led warm-up to ensure you’re ready for the off! Then you’ll leave Himley and head out towards the village of Wombourne. All the way to Wolverhampton Racecourse.
