Where to Find Us. View Walk High Westmorland. In a larger map. Even though Shap sits in the centre of some of the most wild and beautiful countryside in Cumbria, we are very easy to get to. The M6 runs close to the village and is just 5 minutes from Juction 39. Buses from Penrith and Kendal run frequently and there are stops throughout the village. An up to date schedule can be found. Both Kendal and Penrith have main line train stations.
