Thursday, December 30, 2010. Is the epitome of ballet for me. I took nine-years of ballet lessons myself, so I obviously have an affinity for the art. And I've been hooked on. Specifically ever since the second grade field trip that my class took to The Orpheum in Memphis to see it. I love it! Anyway, as often as I can I try to make it a part of my holiday celebration. Wednesday, June 30, 2010. Fact: I did not. Saturday night after returning from Poland, I went into London to meet some friends from the US that have been visiting the UK. In the course of our evening, we walked from Victoria Station to Trafalgar Square and back. It was a really nice evening . . . perfect temperature - it was actually warm! Sunny skies, good company. Giving me a lift. To work will be out so I'm going to brave it. Rubbing alcohol is only available in the UK with a doctor's prescription.

Friday, May 27, 2011. Things I Will Miss About England. As excited as I am to get to see my family in a few short days, it's still going to be hard to say goodbye to this country I've called home for two years. Oddly enough, I really didn't want to move here at first, but as I've lived here the place has grown on me and there are so many things that I will miss. My friends and colleagues. Daylight from 5:00am to after 9pm in May. Gardens that are beyond description. A cup of tea solves every problem.

I am back to a version of life as usual. Because the schools are really behind, I'm not quite sure when I'll actually be back in the classrooms. I did, however, need to trek out to the bus station to buy my ticket to Dnipropetrovsk for Thanksgiving. I am still a little bummed about the 6:10 am bus departure time. Thursday, November 19, 2009.
