Walking into a Buzz Saw

Walking into a Buzz Saw. Wednesday, November 5, 2014. Technically, this blog was set to chronicle "the next three years as I attempt to get a J.D." Well, I got the J.D. in May and by that time I had learned that having the J.D. isn't really the end of law school. For that reason, I gave this blog an extension on life as I went through the bar examination process. With that in mind, as I was going through the bar review process I constantly compared myself to others who were preparing for the test. Anyway...

Walking into a Buzz Saw: February 2014

http://www.walkingintoabuzzsaw.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html

Walking into a Buzz Saw. Tuesday, February 25, 2014. On Things That Refuse to Die. The past month has been excellent. There was a trip down to NC for the weekend, there was House of Cards, there was a fun second-round interview in Baltimore, there was much theater, there was much mock trial, and there were many snow days. The more interesting of these things are covered in Kelsey's blog. Left ear- fine. Right ear- not fine. Left ear- still normal. Right ear- the high frequencies remained the same and...

Walking into a Buzz Saw: May 2014

http://www.walkingintoabuzzsaw.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html

Walking into a Buzz Saw. Friday, May 23, 2014. Our bus broke down at 1AM in the middle of nowhere so we thought we would miss our 5AM arrival time, but a new bus was sent in a shockingly quick time and we arrived at our meeting point, Pier 6, at 4:30. And there was a beautiful sunrise. Oh, and Pier 6 isn't a port for ships. It's a heliport. Because the Navy has helicopters too. Nicer picture of the sunrise and a helicopter arriving taken by one of my fellow JAG selects. It was a very smooth landing.

Walking into a Buzz Saw: April 2014

http://www.walkingintoabuzzsaw.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html

Walking into a Buzz Saw. Saturday, April 26, 2014. There have been many times in the past when I have sat down to write a post and then, mid-post, something has happened that created a bigger story that needed to play out before I could write anything. It's sort of like Lost or most formulaic single-plot shows that last beyond one season. You know- you start with "we've got to get off the island and not let nature kill us! And then suddenly "there are other people on the island who want to kill us! Earli...

Walking into a Buzz Saw: December 2013

http://www.walkingintoabuzzsaw.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html

Walking into a Buzz Saw. Monday, December 2, 2013. Boston, Thanksgiving, JoshuAID II. Well, it has been an eventful couple of weeks. This post must begin with a debrief of the Boston trip that was much touted by Emily Goo- I mean me. In the morning Kels and I went into Boston to meet up with Brandon, Luke, and Mary for lunch near Harvard. I hadn't seen any of them in a long time, but they were my rocks of competence and authority during the run of Tragedy! In NYC. We reminisced, Kelsey interrupted me...

Walking into a Buzz Saw: August 2013

http://www.walkingintoabuzzsaw.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html

Walking into a Buzz Saw. Monday, August 12, 2013. That Would Have Been Too Easy. I had been planning on updating my blog shortly after the last post. I was just going to wait to find out about my waiver, which was only supposed to take a week to process. Well, that week turned into another week and then another week, and it was just today that I finally heard back. I found myself expressing a similar sentiment. Posted by Mike Johnson. Inaniloquent Inanities: Insert The Lazy Song Lyrics Here

http://inaniloquentinanities.blogspot.com/2012/06/insert-lazy-song-lyrics-here.html

Monday, June 11, 2012. Insert The Lazy Song Lyrics Here. For fun today, I tried to think of the last time I had a quiet weekend at home to relax and unwind from the week. I thought about it. I thought about it some more. I paused to check my e-mail. Then I thought about it some more, and you know what? February. And now it's June. Huh. I may have forgotten there was anyone else to get. Mike made me leave the metro. A delicious cinnamon coated fatty problem. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Thursday, May 22, 2014. Being Known More Apartment Photos. Is there anything better than being known and understood, and still being loved in spite of all that understanding? I don't think there is. I'm a perfectly imperfect person, but there have been a few experiences lately that I want to remember because they made me feel so understood and so loved. Saturday, October 1, 2011. A Brave New World. Goodbye. So long. Farewell. For the last year nearly to the day, I have been employed part time (and one week full time! Thank heavens that's over. I'd like to take this time then to make a few reaffirmations that I feel have been a long time coming. I was not a "team member." I was an employee with co-workers. Customers are not "guests." Any guest I know who royally screws up my home would never set foot in the house again. No, it is not in the backroom.

Sunday, July 1, 2012. The Mega Post (Part 1: Old Friends and New). Tuesday night, I picked up Kay from her parents' place in Arlington and drove over to Courthouse for margaritas and tacos. Mexican food is awesome. Margaritas and time to chat with Kay like old times? Fat, German. Super non-controversial. It's really difficult to describe just how fantastic this party was, so I'll let some pictures speak for themselves:. Emily as Cruella and Dan as Gaston were two of the best. Walking in the Yorkshire Dales

Walking In The Yorkshire Dales. The Yorkshire Dales provide one of the best walking areas in the country covering a wide variety of scenery and some isolated locations many of which can be accessed by public transport. Many of the walks make use of the excellent Settle-Carlisle train service and local transport links- no car needed! For this reason I would initially recommend a visit to the Ribblehead and Three Peaks area, Moorcock Inn, Dentdale and Little White Bus [Hawes] pages. A selection of walks ba...
