Found: Parkway Median | Walking Wally

September 6, 2010 in Geocaching. I was really just looking to offload the other geocoin we’ve been shamefully hanging on to since June. (I know, I know… the summer got away from us.) Picked this one up on the way home from Target today. Wally found it himself, I didn’t help at all. (I mean, I led us to where the GPS said to go, but he took it from there.). So, geocoin passed along. Yay. Comments feed for this article. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Address never made public).

Chrissy’s Cache at Ashby Park. February 17, 2011 in Geocaching. Well, Wally bagged this one. I walked by it. Twice. He yelled “I found it! 8221; I said “oh, I think that’s just garbage.” Yeah, no. Good job, Wally! We also had a small moment where we thought maybe we had found a weapon – we had, but it was a toy. Looked just like a real gun, though. Comments feed for this article. About | Walking Wally
https://walkingwally.wordpress.com/about
This is the not-too-frequently updated log of our family’s hikes. I don’t log the short, quick ones, usually. And I don’t log everything. We do hike more than this. Currently (July 2009) our family consists of two parents, a 5 year old, and 9 month old. We live in central Iowa, prefer to hike on unpaved surfaces, and love the mountains. The View From Here. Sending your sick kids to school/daycare. Just don’t do it. October 9, 2014. A recent conversation online went like this:. 8211; I sent my kid with a contagious virus back to daycare after a day because our pediatrician said it would be ok. 8211; huh. The CDC says that illness is contagious for at least several days up to a few weeks. 8211; What am I supposed to do? 8211; Well, yes, generally it’s good to keep people who you know have a contagious illness home. NOW, besides all the ot...

Our family's adventures in homeschooling. About The Family School. Stuff We’ve Used. February 15, 2015. Nothing stands out about this week, in particular. Genna continues to work on letter recognition, reading, and writing. I think we’ll do another reading review next week. We both like our new schedule much better, where we’re doing fewer things per day and spending a longer amount of time on each. Genna loves math and asks for it daily.🙂. Filed under This Week. He has journal writing to accompany the reading, and we do discussion about the reading, as well. We’re doing this as a read-along because he seems to retain better when listening than when reading. The View From Here. When the day takes all of you. November is a month…. November 10, 2013. Saw a FB “thing” today that said “November is the month when everyone who’s spent the last 11 months complaining on FB suddenly starts saying what they’re thankful for.”. Here’s my take on that. So I’m not doing it this month. But here’s some things I’m thankful for:. Selfless heroic awesome human beings like Tiff and Steph. Awesome doctors who sometimes frustrate me, but who always have our best interests at heart.

Walking Wall Street

In many ways the residents of LA's Wall Street embrace a Main Street. Mentality where focus is on local economies rather than existing in a shroud of financial industry excesses associated with its New York counterpart. Contrast this with Wall Street, New York City:. First two hikes 2011: Grant’s Nature Area, Brown’s Woods. April 15, 2011 in Des Moines Area. April 6: Grant’s Nature Area (which is where the pictures are from). April 13: Brown’s Woods (I neglected to bring the camera). No geocaching in either spot. For Grant’s, I had forgotten to upload the local area caches, and had only Caribbean caches, lol. For Brown’s, the unit just wouldn’t work (said there were no caches). We did do our first letterbox in Brown’s Woods, though, which was pretty fun. I was really...
