Explorations on foot in and around Cape Town. Ou Kraal Boyes Drive Circle. T, above St James, from Boyes Drive. For other walks up the Ou Kraal path see the archive here. The weather looks rather threatening so we picked a short and easy walk up Ou Kraal and crossed fingers the rain would hold off. Flowers spotted on the way up: Satyrium odorum. And another one, common bonnet orchid, Pterygodium catholicum. And another variety, Cyphia bulbosa. Little blue Aristea africana. Sunday, December 02, 2012.

BUGS - Being Under God's Super vision: Holy Week - New Life

http://lifeasabug.blogspot.com/2011/04/holy-week-new-life.html

BUGS - Being Under God's Super vision. Thursday, April 21, 2011. Holy Week - New Life. It has been week since I wrote that last post - significantly it has been the week known as Holy Week. In this week I have had to face the fact that I have been suffering with depression (and been in denial about it) for far too long. This week I have been stripped of all pride and pretense with the church on maundy Thursday and walked out in darkness and silence. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Rock in the grass.

Shady trees | Cape Town Daily Photo

https://www.capetowndailyphoto.com/blog/2010/11/shady-trees

Cape Town Daily Photo. Saturday, 13 November, 2010. Although Cape Town has plenty of pine trees like these, over the years of my existence in the distant suburbs of the city, I remember many beautifully huge trees like these being cut down - for various "legitimate" reasons of course. The reasons range from the need for new roads, new homes, safety, and simply whether or not a particular land owner likes the tree in the place it is. Saturday, 13 November, 2010. G-South Africa at the Bay Hotel. I can unde...

Rambles on Ambles in the Urban Environment. January 2, 2015. Being human is itself difficult, and therefore all kinds of settlements (except dream cities) have problems. Big cities have difficulties in abundance, because they have people in abundance. 8212; Jane Jacobs.
