A view from our beach hut. Thursday, 28 April 2011. The seeds are growing in the yard. The hot weather has passed for the moment and the north wind is blowing but the little plants are still growing. So I have put in small canes to help them reach the ropes and trellis in the hope they get the right idea but I may have to revert to the whip. Thursday, 21 April 2011. At last some action. Saturday, 9 April 2011. It is all happening. Spring Beauty is flowering at the cliff bottom and looking very fresh.

A view from our beach hut. Tuesday, 8 May 2012. Strange beast on the beach. The weather was much kinder today and I saw this JCB digger heading for the sea. Had the driver gone mad? Were they going for a paddle or a swim? But no, they had gone to get a bucket of water to wash part of the sea wall. Now why they would wish to do this I cannot think as the sea covers it at high tide. They must have a reason; any ideas? Ooh - big yellow digger - can i play? Saves having to wait for high tide.). A view from our beach hut. Monday, 30 April 2012. The Sand Martins are back. The sand martins were flying around in the sunshine, too fast for a pic, will try to catch them when they start nesting. It has been a glorious warm day, with very little wind, the sea is still a bit choppy after the rough weather we have had over the last few days. Claytonia perfoliata, pretty!
