The Musings of a Wandering Feline. 23 May 2012 @ 11:23 am. Book Review: Eyes Like Leaves. Maryann Harris, Charles deLint, and me. I’m a huge Charles deLint fangirl, I freely admit it. I’ve gotten to meet him a couple times at FaerieCon and such, and he’s incredibly nice, in addition to being a prolific and fabulous author and musician. So when I saw him sitting at his booth at FaerieCon West earlier this year, of course I had to buy a book so I could get him to sign it. In his introduction to. The story ...

The Musings of a Wandering Feline. 07 February 2012 @ 03:22 pm. Ruminations on rural living, from 30,000 feet over the Big Apple. Still, by many standards, we live in the middle of nowhere. You have to drive down almost a quarter mile of gravel lane to get to our house. We have three acres of land and a lovely view. Cows occasionally graze on the other side of the fence down the hill. Sometimes getting to town takes longer because you get stuck behind a tractor or other farm implement. So here we go!

Thoughts from the mythic muse. How to make paper snowflakes. Dec 14th, 2010 at 12:23 PM. Paper Snowflakes. I make them. How full of the creative genius is the air. In which these are generated. I should hardly admire more if real stars fell. And lodged in my coat". So this is going to be a long, photo heavy, how-to post. Then check out the work on snowflakes by Kenneth Libbrecht, professor of physics at Caltech, at www.SnowCrystals.com. Is good, and This Instrucables Page. Fold the triangle in half again.

I shot my sister-in-law's engagement photos on Saturday and I'm trying to narrow them down to what I should post on my website's official blog. It's hard to narrow them down when you know the people in the photos so well! So, I'm interested to see what you think about these 16 that I've narrowed it to so far- which ones do you like? Which ones do you not like? 14 comments Leave a comment. I love 6, 10, 14!

I'm experiencing some pretty serious site rental and catering sticker shock, and I'm hoping you guys have some more ideas. For my first wedding, we rented a shelter house at a local park for $100, and had the reception at an arts center for something like $2000, including site rental and catering. What awesome sites have you folks found? I've looked into PG and Montgomery County parks, but haven't found anything that really fits the bill. Where else could I look? Sites currently under consideration:.

When I received the email from Bostick Communications announcing the publication of Katie Pierson’s new YA novel, I was excited.
