Sunday, April 26, 2015. Starting this day with good coffee,. Smooth music, wildlife to watch,. And my best friend. Bird feeder tree from our front window. Nest building time and the goldfinches are visiting. Something to eat for all: hummers, finches, sparrows, siskins. Goldfinches arrived early this year. Not all of us are enjoying the wildlife watching. Miss Lily is napping. Squirrels are appreciating the peanuts, rhody's are starting to bloom. Saturday, April 04, 2015. 1 BOXES IN HOUSE.

Wanderlust: Travels of Bill and Ethel - 1946

http://www.wanderingsingers.blogspot.com/2015/07/travels-of-bill-and-ethel-1946.html

Thursday, July 30, 2015. Travels of Bill and Ethel - 1946. Most of our readers know we travel a bit.ok, more than a little bit. We come by some of our wanderlust naturally. Dean's folks - - Bill and Ethel - - did some traveling before they started wintering in the Palm Springs area. Bill and Ethel left on June 24 for the Big Apple (probably wasn't called that then) in their 1938 Dodge 4-door sedan with 60,710 on the odometer. They (as we do) took the long way around. They covered 11,510 miles, pa...Charg...

Wanderlust: June 2014

http://www.wanderingsingers.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html

Wednesday, June 25, 2014. We've got power to the hot water heater – hot shower! Well, guess we are waiting for a door on the shower. And the gas stove is installed –. That would keep us warm but it is 75 degrees outside. If it does get hot, we can cool off because the heat pump does also does cool. Everything is partially done. Re-landscaping is hardly done. Hings are moving way way fast! Stay tuned - we are getting real close! Friday, June 20, 2014. The Castle has a Throne. Almost all a home needs, huh?

Wanderlust: March 2015

http://www.wanderingsingers.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html

Saturday, March 28, 2015. Home again, home again, jiggity-jog. Whew, we made it. Last report, we'd made it out of Nevada and had only 600 miles to go. And, yes, we deviated off the planned route again chocking up an additional 250 miles. Once we entered Idaho, we traveled along the Thousand Springs Scenic Byway (US30) along the Snake River. Beautiful drive. We need to come back here and further explore. Xplored the Horse Heaven Hills and bluebirds in Bickleton. Traveling along the Washington side of the ...

Wanderlust: Arlington Fly-in - Another Airshow

http://www.wanderingsingers.blogspot.com/2015/07/arlington-fly-in-another-airshow.html

Monday, July 13, 2015. Arlington Fly-in - Another Airshow. Dean likes airplanes. He likes airplane museums. He likes airshows. The aerial stunt shows have changed radically, with a number of aircraft capable of climbing straight up and "hanging on the prop" as they twirl around; others can tumble end for end and slide backwards in a way that would have torn apart the planes of a few years ago. Among the antiques was a Boeing 40, "restored" from a plane that crashed 80 years ago. What we've been up to.

Munday's the Arizona Roadrunners. Sunday, September 14, 2014. We have been back close to a month now and getting back into the groove. One night at cribbage we celebrated little Bea's 95th birthday! She is so sharp and fun to play cards with along with the others I might add. Most folks are still gone for the summer months but we were glad to be back for this little event. It's a pretty amazing sight! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A slow week .but enjoyed some time with friends. Small Places Smiling Faces.

Munday's the Arizona Roadrunners. Friday, October 24, 2014. Tuesday, October 14, 2014. Our little house is changing again. One of the items on the "to do" list includes getting a garage door! Wednesday, October 1, 2014. Very exciting and the best part. it's not cold! AND it's gone almost as fast as it comes. Fortunately for us, we are in an older development that was very "thoughtfully" planned so no flooding problems (lots of big holding ponds in the area) and with the desert landscaping the ground ...

Munday's the Arizona Roadrunners. Friday, July 10, 2015. Trout Lake and Mount Hood. Once again it would seem age is creeping up on us and this time it was not a blood clot; no, it was unseen and misery - Earl's hands swelling up and arms hurting. Neither one of us getting a good night sleep due to pain. It was miserable to the point of cancelling out and heading for home and doctors! Saturday, July 4, 2015. Bill has a good eye! All things great that I come across.mostly books. Sunday, February 15, 2015. THE RAVEN'S HEAD by Karen Maitland. The Raven's Head is an atmospheric novel set in the Middle Ages. The story revolves around three very compelling main characters, flipping point of view back and forth between these characters from chapter to chapter. It is done deftly, and the author manages to involve you emotionally with the plight of all three before eventually merging their tales in a dark and exciting climax. I happened ...
