Pure Silliness | Whirling through the winter
https://polarboogie.wordpress.com/2014/04/17/pure-silliness
Whirling through the winter. April 17, 2014. Maybe I’m goofy, maybe I’m a bit crazy, but I do love to smile. It could be that I’m getting too old or my kids are growing up to quick, but for whatever reason I decided you all needed to get some Sesame Street happiness going on. Enjoy Bert and Ernie and the boogie woogie sheep, then get out and dance! Don’t forget to get out and prove your dance skills this Friday night! Then Saturday go out and join the ContraBorealis dancers at Pioneer Park! A Bit of Fun.

Whirling through the winter. March 9, 2014. This slideshow requires JavaScript. Happy Spring Forward Sunday! They were having a graduation party of sorts, as four new square dancers completed their first mainstream dance classes. So what’s the reason for the lack of square dancers? Young blood, that is what square dancing needs. Like Chuck Holt said with a smile on his face,in regards to the older ge...

A wee bit behind the ball…. Nothing like finding out you’ve fallen behind in a course. Egad! The most recent completed project was a UNIX PowerPoint. Though doing a PowerPoint was not a challenge, the content was. In all honesty, I don’t understand UNIX. I can see what it does, I can see how it works, but I just don’t understand its usefulness or the need to understand it. So, I am inviting anyone who is willing to give me some feedback. I am Karen Stern, and this is my latest blog for my latest class. I am currently a Graduate student at the University of Alabama, seeking my MLIS (Masters in Library Information Studies). I have been working in school libraries since 2003, and have interacted with students from Pre-K to Seniors in high school. Currently, I work in a high school library as an assistant and I LOVE MY JOB! Where else do you get to talk to students about books and generally harass them as they harass you? Leave a Reply x.

My 18 year old daughter, Emmy. As a digital native, she utilizes technology in similar ways than I do, but she has so much more in her repertoire that it makes us a bit different in our technology habits. Me: How long have you been using computers? Emmy: Since I was 8. Me: Are you comfortable using computers? Me: Besides computers, do you use any other types of technology (ie, smart phones, tablets)? Emmy: I use my phone, laptops, iPods, and iPads. Emmy: School. Through trial and error. Emmy: About 51,000.
