http://writtenwhimsy.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Me, trying to be Whimsical. Tuesday, March 8, 2011. The Supporting Power of God. I was thinking the other day. Have you ever held a toddler in your lap? I do it a lot during Sacrament meeting at church, and it gets to a point where they drive me crazy, and I have to. Them to please just sit by me! What is so bad about having a cute, cuddly toddler sit on my lap? 3 - I get tired! Eventually, I just get tired of my skirt riding up my lap, my attention being split, my muscles hurting. and I just. Heather's Whimsy: Expressing Thanks
http://writtenwhimsy.blogspot.com/2011/06/expressing-thanks.html
Me, trying to be Whimsical. Tuesday, June 7, 2011. I made butterfinger cookies on Sunday for our Family Home Evening treat. J's wonderful Sunbeam teachers have been released recently, and I wanted to thank them for all they have done for J. I loaded cookies on a plate, and J and I walked down to their house. I coached J on what I wanted him to do before we got there. Later, he saw his friend playing outside, and he ran to me and asked if he could give cookies to him and his mom and his dad and his sister...

Heather's Whimsy: May 2012
http://writtenwhimsy.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Me, trying to be Whimsical. Wednesday, May 23, 2012. A lot of lasts this week, including the last day of school. My work schedule is changing, along with other changes at work that aren't bad, but have added a bit more pressure to my job. Change is always hard. Harder when we hold on to what was, and don't embrace what is coming. SO, here is me struggling to keep an open mind. Here are the good things about the changes. A great, great thing. Lead on, Lord. Lead on. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I love to s...

Heather's Whimsy: April 2010
http://writtenwhimsy.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Me, trying to be Whimsical. Friday, April 2, 2010. Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. I am on the Primary Substitute List. As I am ward choir director, I am available to help out in Primary, and I feel bad for the primary teachers that have to call all over the ward looking for a substitute. I kind of set an internal limit on how often I sub, though - not more than two weeks in a row before I let myself. I should read the lesson chapters! I've felt a bit. unfulfilled lately in my calling, and in a qui...

Heather's Whimsy: September 2010
http://writtenwhimsy.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Me, trying to be Whimsical. Wednesday, September 15, 2010. PMS, Yoga, and the Principle of Mercy. So, what does this have to do with PMS? I thought about leaving, and finding a secluded place and just crying it out! Partly out of shame for walking out of the class, I stayed. It was also partly because I didn't want to be so weak that I couldn't do one hour of yoga - I didn't want to let my stress make me do something I would regret. I got home, and. I could barely leak any tears! It seems to be the case.

Heather's Whimsy: J is growing up
http://writtenwhimsy.blogspot.com/2013/10/j-is-growing-up.html
Me, trying to be Whimsical. Thursday, October 31, 2013. J is growing up. So, I just have to post some funny/sweet things J has said lately. Like, in the last week. I was at the library, and had returned 3 kid DVDs 5 days late, so I had $15 in late fees. UGH. I went up to the librarian and told her I needed to pay my fees. In a surprised tone, she said, "And you're still smiling! At the end of the first book, after all the chapters are done, there is that final closing group of pages in a book, that kind ...

Heather's Whimsy: Girl Power
http://writtenwhimsy.blogspot.com/2011/06/girl-power.html
Me, trying to be Whimsical. Monday, June 20, 2011. I think I love girl power songs. I don't really have a lot of experience with broken hearts, especially the last 13 years, but something about them just gets me. What brings this up? I have listened to this song. The progression of the music just builds up inside of me, and the the release at the end - it is truly beautiful. I love to sing the song at the top of my lungs, with the speakers up loud so I can still hear how she does it. Don't Think of Me).
