Master Bedroom Makeover Progress: Arhaus Bed. Posted on July 15, 2015. That we would visit quite often and daydream about what pieces of furniture we would put into our home when we moved. Well, that day is here. We ordered a lovely bed and a couple of other pieces for our home. The focal point of our room is our bed that we got from Arhaus and I’m so excited to share it with you! We went with the Barrister Upholstered Queen Bed with platform in ivory. Let me know in the comments below! Love that bed....

DIY Ampersand Art
http://www.lizmarieblog.com/2015/07/diy-ampersand-art
Posted on July 30, 2015. I am back today to share a piece of art work that Mr. LMB made this past week. I can’t help but share what he makes, maybe I’m like the mom who hangs their kids artwork all over the fridge, but I mean one post a week or every other week with some artwork that he makes for our home or our booth is perfectly fine right? I styled it above our daybed in our office and I’m tempted to keep it. but this little baby will be in our booth at Painted Farmgirl. Chat with me on Instagram.

An Entertainment Stand / Dresser Makeover - Pearl Girl Creates

An Entertainment Stand / Dresser Makeover. The area underneath our TV has always been a little challenge in our apartment. At our old apartment, we decided to just hang a shelf underneath so there would room to slide our coffee table under when we needed the floor space. However, the shelf method left a lot of messy looking cords all over the place, and messy cords really bug me! Ah the relief I feel! For this dresser, I used the same Corduroy Black that I had used on the dresser I painted a few weeks ago.

DIY Console Table - Pearl Girl Creates
http://www.pearlgirlcreates.com/diy-console-table
As I type this post, my husband is in the living room vacuuming up sawdust and putting away his makeshift “workbench” leftover from our furniture building adventures in an apartment. We’ve fallen in love with building our own pieces, but it definitely is a challenge building in our third floor 900 sq. foot apartment with no garage (sorry neighbors! This console table is our second piece of furniture we’ve built together in the last few months. About a month or two ago we built a farmhouse table. June 24,...

This area had to be leveled using self-leveling cement. All the door jambs and case molding had to be cut to fit the new floor. It was only $8...

Round Inlay Table…err, Wall Medallion — Domestic Imperfection

DIY and Home Decor. Round Inlay Table…err, Wall Medallion. July 19, 2015. Every night for the last two weeks I’ve told myself that I would write about this table, and every night one of three things happened instead –. Judah cried all night. He just turned four months, but I swear that boy is teething. I instead spent hours online researching stuff for the new house. The last few nights have been all about windows. How are there so many options? Why are all the reviews contradictory? So a few months ago ...

Antique Gramophone Bar
http://alexandrafrankow.com/diy/antique-gramophone-bar
Creative minds are rarely tidy. Genealogy & history. So, I bought an antique gramophone. Actually, what I purchased was the shell of a gramophone, which I was fine with. It’s pretty gorgeous. I spotted it at Antiques on Victoria, a local antique store. I was pumped. It’s built well and has already been converted to be utilized into something great. In my case, a bar! I filled my Antique Gramophone Bar with glassware and…. Who doesn’t hear the word “Liquor” and think of drunk Jim Lahey? Music to your ears?

Interior Inspiration — Domestic Imperfection

DIY and Home Decor. August 6, 2015. One of my goals with this new house is to have the actual. Have personality, not just the stuff in it. Most new homes I see these days (I know because I stalk realtor.com for fun, still) are big, beige, drywall boxes. Even the expensive ones…they’re all the same. I want this home to be truly unique and custom. I want it to be functional and carefully thought out, cozy and open (it can happen! Fun and casual. In other words, I want it to be completely Adam and Ashley.

I’ve been a little silent this weekend, and to be honest, I’ve been feeling a little social media burn out now that it has become part of my day job and my side job, and probably some plain old social burn out too considering we had two large events at work last week where I had to be friendly and put together in front of a lot of people! An introvert can only handle so much! Luckily, this time away from the world over the weekend has extremely productive for the blog. Notice all the design changes?
