Joe Brown, the list is endless. Ironically, along with The Vigilantes, we shared the stage with the Beatles the very first time they played outside of Liverpool, at the Bell Hall in Warrington on Friday 19th July 1962. A vital part of playing in those days was getting the gigs this is where the agents came in, invariably they were colourful characters to put it mildly but they kept us in work in and around Warrington and sometimes farther afield, some of them became famous later on in their own right. Two other legends I have renewed friendships with are:. Pete Rigby: This man gave us a lot of bookings and was responsible for booking us at the Bell Hall with The Beatles, the first time they appeared in Warrington.

We met today in Warrington General Hospital, Dave has had a really rough time health wise lately to say the least, but being a true sixties veteran he is soldiering on and always has a smile for you and you are guaranteed a good chin wag.
