WASH A WEEK CHALLENGE

WASH A WEEK CHALLENGE. 8220;It takes one hundred washes just to begin the journey” - Maggie Latham. Friday, 14 August 2015. Lorraine Brown - Week #32. I have played with using stencils in my watercolours particularly when making abstract backgrounds. I don't find it easy to add watercolour as it seems to always run under the stencil and not give the desired result. You can add a thicker mixture with dabbing through the stencil but I prefer to lift out pigment through the stencil using a Magic Eraser.

WASH A WEEK CHALLENGE. 8220;It takes one hundred washes just to begin the journey” - Maggie Latham. Thursday, 13 August 2015. Lori Bentley Week #33. I have not painted in a while - been a bit busy over the weekends - so I am down to the odd bits a pieces done previously. This wild dog sketch went on auction in June to raise funds for Tusk and their conservation programmes. The medium is not watercolour, but rather a new (for me) set of soluble pencils called "inktense". Libellés : Lori Bentley washes.
