I just discovered this website. Great fun to read, and I emailed a link to my brothers. Don t know if it is still active. Just one complaint when I view it the decorative vertical "flowers" often cut off or go through the writing. (Editor's note: I will fix that - sorry) Don t know if any one else has this problem, so I had to put it on "print preview" to read! One of my fondest memories, and only one other person that I read mentioned it, was to go through the "fords" on Rock Creek Parkway in the car!

Loved reading the memories. My mother was born near the US Capital and I was born at Walter Reed Army Hospital. Lived in DC during the early days of WWII. We drove in from Maryland to the city on the night when lights were once again turned on (no more blackouts).
