Griffin Guys & Girl: October 2013
http://griffinguysgirl.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 10, 2013. A Little About Logan. We are in a really, really good season right now with Logan. He has amazed us with how well he's adjusted to elementary school and it can only be directly attributed to the Lord's hand in his life. So many prayers have been showered over that boy in the past few years due to his anxiety and self-confidence issues, and BOY has God answered! First Week of School. Miss Ables (an A&M grad): So, Logan, I hear you like to watch Aggie football. I've heard it sai...

Griffin Guys & Girl: February 2013
http://griffinguysgirl.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 20, 2013. We say 'goodbye' to our home tomorrow morning. It seems incredibly final, to close the chapter on a house that has been our home for just shy of 10 years. We built the home - watched as the foundation was poured, scratched our initials and Joshua 24:15 in the damp cement on the floor of what was to be the breakfast room, watched as the walls were formed and bricks were laid, watched as the promise of dreams fulfilled came to be. Griffin Guys & Girl: August 2013
http://griffinguysgirl.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 29, 2013. School started for us this past Monday, August 26th. Cue the angels singing}. We had a busy, yet laid-back summer - and it was time for these boys to be back in a routine, to meet new friends and reunite with old friends, to learn to respect and follow another voice of authority, to make new adventures happen. And it was good. The face of a Kindergartener who says "I've got this, Mom. You can leave now.". The 2nd-grader fake smile. :) He was ready for me to leave, too. Logan st...

Griffin Guys & Girl: September 2012
http://griffinguysgirl.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 25, 2012. A blog friend shared this song on her blog this morning, and it is so beautiful. It speaks to me on many levels this morning, but what hit me is this:. Change is a part of life. A big part. Most changes are for good, some are not, but in every change I find a part of me wants to go back - back to what was familiar, what was predictable - no matter if I'm excited about the change ahead or not. It's like my soul is still searching for a constant amidst the changing. The big boy...

Griffin Guys & Girl: March 2014
http://griffinguysgirl.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 3, 2014. An Evening at the Beach. It was about an hour before sunset, so we knew our time was limited. That was fine. We didn't have a change of clothes for anyone, much less any towels, so we told the boys we were just going to walk on the beach and maybe put our feet in the (cold! Pacific Ocean. They were NOT EXCITED. I'm talking whining, complaining, "why can't we just go to the hotel and swim? Kids Water = A Good Time. And an interesting ride back to the hotel. ;). I was nervous about t...

The island and the bridge. - Jon Acuff

The island and the bridge. - Jon Acuff. Raquo; The island and the bridge. The island and the bridge. March 21, 2014. Chasing a dream is like being on an island. You spend months, maybe even years working that geography. You know every palm tree, every rock, every flower of that small landscape. This is your baby, this is your dream! And it’s an amazing island, I am proud of your island, I am, but I have to warn you about something. Islands need bridges. Islands need boats. Islands need runways. March 21,...

Griffin Guys & Girl: January 2013
http://griffinguysgirl.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 17, 2013. This one is getting creative with her napping locations. She was way underneath this pile of dirty laundry (that had been stacked in the hallway, awaiting it's turn in the washer) and nearly scared the pants off of me when I walked past. The pile started to move. I may or may not have let out a little scream. I guess it should be noted that I had just set two mousetraps in the garage that morning. Wednesday, January 16, 2013. Lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of LEGOs.
