undecided: Podcasts
http://becky-undecided.blogspot.com/2008/01/podcasts.html
Tuesday, January 29, 2008. I tried podcastalley and found a few interesting blogs using "library" to search. Most seemed to be presentations about finding information, but one was really great. The Lansing Library Teen Dept podcast had reviews, programs and links to online chats with authors, as well as past issues of the library's teen newspaper. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). http://becky-undecided.blogspot.com/2008/01/library-20-and-web-20.html
Thursday, January 31, 2008. Library 2.0 and Web 2.0. The article that made the most impression on me was by Dr. Wendy Schultz "To a Temporary place in time". She said the library of the future:. Library 4.0 will be a knowlege spa: meditation, relaxation, immersion in a luxury of ideas and thought. This is an idealistic, even heavenly vision of future libraries. It seems very computer based and would mean that the library has to think very far beyond its traditional boundaries and services.

Wednesday, January 30, 2008. It is getting very late and unfortunately I decided to look at just a few YouTube selections instead of working on Library 2.0. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Its Time for a break. Library 2.0 and Web 2.0.

undecided: LibriVox
http://becky-undecided.blogspot.com/2008/01/librivox.html
Thursday, January 31, 2008. The first time that I looked at LibriVox it seemed as if the titles I wanted were "temporarily not available" but the second time I looked, Fran was directing me, and it went very smoothly and I found audio as well as text versions of the titles I entered. This makes me think that I should have found a way to spend more time (a lot more time) at Fran's Thursday morning training sessions. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Its Time for a break. Thursday, January 31, 2008. As I near completion of the 23 tasks (well, almost completion) I am going to store my passwords on Zoho writer. Much of what I have been exposed to will be very useful at the reference desk and in monitoring the public access computers. It's Time for a break. Library 2.0 and Web 2.0. Thursday, January 24, 2008. Zoho Writer has a lot of possibilities for working together on a document or a schedule and might be easier for everyone to get to than Microscoft Outlook. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Its Time for a break. Library 2.0 and Web 2.0.

http://becky-undecided.blogspot.com/2008/01/blog-post_19.html
Saturday, January 19, 2008. Http:/ del.icio.us/undecided1234. So far del.icio.us is the most useful. I often go from one computer to another and having favorites in one place is very helpful. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Its Time for a break. Library 2.0 and Web 2.0.
