From ELO, through 20 years. to ELO. Puts it, the nuts and bolts of composition. And its fascinating. How does the sound of an instrument cut through the other instruments. Or not. What is the tone of the instrument, and is it better suited for quieter parts of a composition, or for the parts with more impact? Does it have a fast attack and decay, or can the performer control and sustain the note? This all takes me back to what introduced me to music in the first place – ELO. Cant get it out of my head.

Roddy Woomble was born in Ayrshire in 1976. During his childhood he and his family moved about frequently, living in France, England, and America before settling in the Scottish coastal town of Carnoustie where Roddy spent his teenage years before moving, at eighteen in 1995 to Edinburgh to study Photography. After spells living in London, New York city and Glasgow, Roddy currently lives with his family in the western isles. Hope is Important (1998). 100 Broken Windows (2000). The Remote Part (2002).
