2012 Opening Bike Ride. Getting Around Our Site. Toe Chill Index: Not Bad. It was well into the new year when the weather eased a bit to allow for the first bike ride of 2012. The conditions were pretty nice considering we are in the middle of winter these days. So it was good to take advantage of the situation to roll out for the 2012 opening bike ride. Starting off was a leg headed south. Nice view of that mid winter sun around noon, at it's highest point in the sky. Not too bad for middle of winter.

Unlike last week's ride. Today temps warmed up nicely. Skies cleared from the dreary morning, making for a great cycling experience. Time to get on the shorts and short sleeve shirts, and let's hit the road. The start of my route was through neighborhoods. Nice places to warm the legs up. No leaves right now.
