For the Last Time (Part 4). 8220;Dear, would you mind jotting down something for me? 8220;Sure honey, what is it? Hold on, let me get a piece of paper and pen.”. As she finished writing, she gave it to me and asked what it was for. I studied it carefully, looked at her in the eyes for one last time and it was then I knew that it was the right thing to do. First day of school. Wah, boy, so eager to go to school? My father said as he smiled at me. I nodded in approval and took a seat beside my brother who was poking a finger at his breakfast. Haha, of course he is. It's his very first day in school. The start of a brand new life in his childhood days," my mother added. Come on, boy. You wouldn't want to be late for school on your first day, would you? Go on now. That's your school. See all the children there? He gave a signal to another teacher and music st...

Once upon a time, there were two men who were seriously ill who occupied the same room in a hospital. One man was allowed to sit up against his bed for a few hours every day to help drain fluid from his lungs while the other was forced to lie flat on his back all day. The two men quickly became acquainted to each other and soon became good friends. Suddenly, and briefly, a foreign idea appeared in his mind: “Why should he get to enjoy everything while I never get to see anything at all? Slowly and painfu...

I looked out of the window and was shocked to see. I found myself running out of my house with an iron pole, possibly from an unused pipe which was about about four feet long and a metal tray about the size of my torso with a handle in the middle. I wasn't thinking about much as I ran there but I was fairly aware of some voices in my head that were telling me to stop or I would get hurt. Links to this post. 8220;Thank you for flying with us. Have a nice day.”. After some time, an old yellow taxi pulled up in front of me. Out from it came an elderly man, possibly in his 50’s or 60’s, with a kindly face. 8220;Good evening, sir,” he greeted me. “Where can I take you to? 8220;Good evening,” I replied. I handed him a scrap of paper with an address written on it. It was to a small town at the edge of the state. “Are you willing to go there? It’s a bit far off from the city.”. 8220; Bu, Yah, adik dah balik,. 8221;...

Why I don't like watching Horror movies. Needless to say, I thought that I had learnt my lesson; and I did, for a long time. I abstained from watching anything related to horror for many years. I slowly forgot about all the things that used to scare me and fear left my life. The very minute they got the go-ahead from me, they bought the tickets; there was no turning back, and I wasn’t the kind of person to simply waste money by standing my friends up. My mind had a continuity error. My house didnR...

A life full of possibilities. My parents will send me to a good school, as they know the importance of a good education. Maybe I will miss my friends terribly, or maybe I will find new friends to spend my time with. Maybe there will be some people who will try to pull me down or slander me but I will not hold a grunge against them. I will keep working honestly. Links to this post. Then, there were the customary anchovies. I mean, which nasi lemak is complete without them? Links to this post. All creative...

Writer's Blog: Do Not Drink and Drive
http://sfiwritersblog.blogspot.com/2013/07/do-not-drink-and-drive.html
Do Not Drink and Drive. 8220;Remember, do not drink and drive,” my Mom’s voice resounded in my head. “Do not drink and drive,” I repeated and exhaled. Glancing over my face once more, I finally decided that I was ready to go. When I arrived, it was as if the party was already going on in full swing. There was loud music being played through huge speakers by a famous local dee jay, people were crowding the dance floor and getting low, waiters were carrying glasses of wine and hors. The party ended without...
