Sampling life with a creative mind. Thursday, May 25, 2006. Going purple soon . I had my hearing reassessed this morning. This was the first time since my digital aids were dispensed in 2002. Now I know that I am not slowly going mad when I can't make sense of the world, just slowly losing more of my hearing. The best thing was that the level 10 dB in my right ear that I have lost in that time, could be corrected by plugging me in to the computer. No, they couldn't reprogramme me, just my aid! This one i...

The Frog Princess: Handy pocket bag
http://gershamabob.blogspot.com/2012/04/handy-pocket-bag.html
Thursday, 19 April 2012. I decided ages ago that my delightful daughter needed a bag of her own. One that was easy to get into, without a flap to get in the way of the treasures which constantly need carting about. Enter the cargo pocket bag! One bag, fit for the treasures of an 18-month-old munchkin. The strap even has extra length. I can just move the velcro on the strap to a new position, and the bag will grow with her! It was love at first wear. Posted by the frog princess. Ahhh, thats really lovely!

https://purlparables.wordpress.com/2009/07/17/im-back-to-show-you-where-ive-been
This used to be about a bunch of things… now, it’s just knitting! All knitting, all the time! I’m back to show you where I’ve been…. So, last you heard of me, (other than the post I just published-I found it unpublished since December 31st! I was what 7 months pregnant? Well, I ended up giving birth right on the exact due date, April 19th. And now we have beautiful little Audrey! Please excuse the quality, it was a camera phone picture, but it’s my favorite one of her just after birth. Install homebrew a...

http://oldbeanknits.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
The (Mostly) Fibery Adventures of Old Bean. Tuesday, November 27, 2012. A Thank You Letter to Wil Wheaton. My mom is wonderful, but didn't understand why I couldn't just be happy. And if not, why didn't I talk to someone about it. But why would I talk to someone, what the fuck was talking going to do? How was talking about how shitty I felt going to help me feel better? Now if you follow Wil Wheaton on Twitter. You should) or you read his blog. I was finally diagnosed with depression in 2001 and have bee...

The (Mostly) Fibery Adventures of Old Bean: November 2009
http://oldbeanknits.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
The (Mostly) Fibery Adventures of Old Bean. Wednesday, November 18, 2009. That's my laughing birthday girl. So, I realize it's been a while since I wrote; things have actually been going on, but I got behind and then intimidated by the catching up and, well, you can see where that's gotten me. nowhere. To rectify, we'll have bullets and pictures of Margaret. Margaret had her second birthday on Sunday! Can you believe my little Lima Bean is 2? I'm just going to end this with some Margaret pictures. Oh, an...

all knitting, no sleeping: THE YARN HARLOT!
http://allknittingnosleeping.blogspot.com/2008/09/yarn-harlot.html
All knitting, no sleeping. It does what it says on the tin! Saturday, 6 September 2008. Right, please excuse the cheesy grin but OMG! She touched my sweater! And she was so sweet! What more can I say? She's a normal person. And a knitter! Honestly, I was shaking when I spoke to her! And all I could say? Hi, I brought you some beer. I'm not weird, honest! I just read your blog and thought you liked beer. What am I like? In true Mike Myers. Fashion - I'm not worthy! 7 September 2008 at 02:53:00 BST. 9 Sept...

The (Mostly) Fibery Adventures of Old Bean: Long Day
http://oldbeanknits.blogspot.com/2011/04/long-day.html
The (Mostly) Fibery Adventures of Old Bean. Friday, April 1, 2011. In other news, I painted her nails for the first time on Wednesday. I got quick drying polish because if it took long to dry it wasn't going to stay on. Check out my awesome nails. I made the doll, AND the dress. Crazy. Pay no attention to the large drop of drool on my chin. Figured out how to stop these entries from posting as notes in Facebook (really not at all intuitive). Next time I'll show you progress on my Polwarth fiber. Oh my go...

Noo's Knits & Other Bits..: It's been warm this week (pic heavy)

Check out my Finished Items on the second page. Photos of My Finished hand-mades. Saturday, March 31, 2012. It's been warm this week (pic heavy). It's been a sunny week here in my little corner of the UK, at the beginning of the week not a single blossom was awake on the plum tree, but look at it now! We've had several days of over 20deg C, and it's been great to get out in the garden a bit early and get a head start on some chores. MrNoo has been busy making stuff:. Knitting, sewing and life in general. Saturday, February 04, 2012. I found a small hole recently on one of our duvet covers. Superking pure cotton duvet covers aren't cheap so I decided to repair it. As the duvet cover is a solid lilac colour I chose a scrap of a pretty purple floral fabric. Using the hearts die for my Accuquilt. I applied bondaweb to the fabric before cutting the shapes out, ironed the shapes onto the duvet cover and then sewed around them with my sewing machine. And just to demonstrate...
