Trust Me, I'm Right. Saturday, November 29, 2003. Gate 17 Departing from Phoenix to Boston. To be quite honest with you, I didn't think it was going to happen. As each day passed on and on, and Curt showed about as much desire to come to Fenway Park as I do of donating my kidney to Alonzo Mourning. I feared that Curt would be wearing pinstripes next year and not red socks. You only want famous athletes to get your organs? And why don't we celebrate the people that actually DO donate to anonymous people?

Trust Me, I'm Right. Saturday, October 18, 2003. Many sportswriters seem to be cynical and angry. As though spending thirty years being paid to follow games that they would watch anyway is just too much. But the older I get, and I'm still young, the more I understand. I think our defense is really gonna surprise people.". If so-and-so can make it back by the All-Star game we can make a run.". Blah, blah, blah. 29 other cities are saying the same things, and only one of you can be right. Everything falls ...

Trust Me, I'm Right. Friday, February 06, 2004. They didn’t do it. They didn’t pull it off. Miracle is good. Pretty good. Maybe even really good. But honestly, that was almost a given considering that the very story is so amazing. Good doesn’t get it done though. Good just isn’t enough. Seabiscuit was good. This is bigger than a horse; this is bigger than a movie. It just might have been too big to try. But where were the player’s stories? They came across more as pawns in Herb Brook’s genius plan than y...

Trust Me, I'm Right. Wednesday, July 30, 2003. The Sox traded for Scott Williamson. I think this is a GREAT trade. He's got a great arm, he's another great set-up guy who also gives them flexibility if they need to move Kim to the rotation, or if Kim struggles. Another good move by the Sox and Theo Epstein. These are the best in season moves the Sox have made for as long as I can remember. YOU GOTTA BELIEVE! Posted by Michael : 3:20 AM. Monday, July 28, 2003. The Reds fired Jim Bowden and Bob Boone.

Trust Me, I'm Right. Thursday, October 28, 2004. October 27th, 2004. The impossible, the improbable, the unbelievable - they all came true. Posted by Michael : 3:15 AM. Wednesday, October 27, 2004. I can honestly say that I am at such a loss for words to describe what is taking place right now. I am so caught off guard about what might take place very soon. I can't even imagine what I might feel like tomorrow. If it was his last game in a Sox uniform - well it certainly is a nice way to remember him.

Trust Me, I'm Right. Friday, January 30, 2004. I mean, 14 in a Row. IN A ROW. I wrote this last night. Enjoy. And if you take my advice and bet, send me money when you win. If you are betting on the Superbowl, let me tell you 4 reasons why you should bet on the Pats. 1) The Patriots don't just win, they almost ALWAYS COVER! A-L-W-A-Y-S. Do you realize that this season the Patriots are an incredible 16-2 in real game scores and an even more incredible 15-2-1 against the spread? The reason Brady wins so mu...

Trust Me, I'm Right. Sunday, April 18, 2004. Where Has Our Captain Gone? So this is it. Game 7 of a series that should be over. So what the hell happened? It's actually a matter of what didn't happen. And what didn't happen was number 19, the captain Joe Thornton, never showed up. Let's just get this straight. The Bruins dominated Game 1; it wasn't even close. Then, they won an evenly played game 2 2-1 in OT. So, the Bruins come home up 3-1 with all the momentum in the world and what do they do? They pla...

Trust Me, I'm Right. Tuesday, June 08, 2004. His teammates wouldn't take it from him, forcing him to take the shortest, easiest, and most gratifying steps in his life long journey. A beautiful moment. Too bad hockey might not have another one for 2 years. But if that was the last moment the NHL will offer me for a long time, I can' think of a better image to go out with. Trust Me, I'm Right. Tuesday, February 08, 2005. The 86 Celts, maybe the greatest basketball team of all time, won another title, and then it all started to happen. It wasn't just that it seemed like everyone but us was winning, it was that we just kept losing. Losing playoff games, losing players, losing championships, losing coaches, and worst, losing hope. Why bring this all up now? After another championship and dynasty? Think of all the times you questioned if it would ever be worth it. Sports is ne...

Trust Me, I'm Right. Wednesday, May 26, 2004. The Best Sports Town In America. What other fans have the presence of mind and respect for the moment to do that? The fact that the at bat ended in a strikeout was of little consequence. For one moment, possibly the one moment he had looked forward to his entire lifetime, Andy Dominique was the most important man in baseball. That's not why I love Red Sox fans, that's why I love Boston. Posted by Michael : 6:29 PM. Friday, May 21, 2004. Then Rodriguez played ...
