DemoBlog: Another Project Done
http://internationaldemoblog.blogspot.com/2007/02/another-project-done.html
Friday, February 09, 2007. The Gates research project officially ended at the end of January. My project manager, Ricken, submitted it to the Gates Foundation last week and now I am just waiting for official permission to distribute the final report to the people I interviewed during the research process. Hopefully, the report will become public domain, in which case I will also post it on my website. In Washington in April. That should be fun. This weekend Paolo and I are visiting friends in Santa Cruz.

Tuesday, January 16, 2007. Gates Project 24: Final Edits. I've received a couple of queries as to where in the work process we are. In answer to those questions, we are in the finishing-it-up-an-turning-it-in phase. We will be submitting the report to the Gates Foundation at the end of this month. Friday, January 05, 2007. Dear SaveDarfur.org: Let's Link. Dear SaveDarfur.org,. I am a member of Save Darfur. And I am frustrated that few Americans are concerned about the crisis there. I think this is principally due to ignorance. To Americans, Darfur is a buzzword, a distant sound bite, an iconic tragedy, that is not fully real. How can you understand the lives of a group of people if you only see them for 30 seconds a day serving as a backdrop for a news anchor's "special report"? Bill and Melinda G...

Sunday, September 17, 2006. INTERNET ACTIVISM IN CHILE.Final Report. Jorge Dominguez, Executive VP of Atina Chile, speaks to a group of university students. 1 A New Kind of Activism. In the past few months, Chile has witnessed several instances of citizens using the internet, particularly blogs, to effect social change. Asks its members to lobby Congress on behalf of progressive causes in the US. But how do these organizations decide which issues to create campaigns around? The tool is Digg.

Wednesday, May 31, 2006. Publicizing the Free Alaa Blueprint. Free Alaa is still going, though slower. The number of people to visit the blog every day has dropped from a high point of 700 in the first few days to about 100, which I suppose is normal as people get distracted by other causes. We're building a house, but unless we make our blueprint public, we'll be the only kids in the neighborhood. Categories: google-bombing for alaa , cool tools.
