Carindale Writer's Group - Beverley Asmus
http://www.carindalewritersgroup.org/asmus/default.htm
Beverley Asmus cannot recall a time when she hasn’t been writing. Encouraged by her parents to pursue her love for the written word, her writing career began at an early age with short stories published in children’s magazines. Further encouraged by her mother to keep a journal, she became fascinated by the distinction between private and public faces and the process of psychological development. Carindale Writers’ Group was established by Beverley in 2000 and she was the facilitator for over a decade.

However at age 16, Geoff began an apprenticeship as a chef which he went on to complete. That book, Consequences , is almost complete and he is already planning his next writing project. The tug of her roots is strong. She has been writing memoir for years. However, her writing credits are more to do with communicating constantly with all those dear to her, near and far. Carindale Writer's Group - Judith Rostedt

Portrait of a Writer. The author assures us she is definitely not mechanically minded - ask her to assemble one of those 'do-it-yourself' kits and she'll panic; hand her a pen and she'll purr! Judy enjoys painting with her brushes, but finds painting with words pure bliss. Writing her mother's memoir taught her more about the heroes and hardships of the Great Depression than any hours in a classroom; creating new characters stretches her imagination and satisfies her soul.
