Redeeming the Future: A Heart of Thanksgiving
http://redeemingthefuture.blogspot.com/2011/11/heart-of-thanksgiving.html
Thursday, November 3, 2011. A Heart of Thanksgiving. As the calendar rolled around to the first of November, I noticed that many posts on various social media sites are focused on 30 Days of Thanksgiving. Friends plan to post about something they are thankful for each day of November. I thought about joining in, for indeed this November I have a heart full of thankfulness. But I know a). I really do not have the time for daily postings, and b). I admittedly do not have the discipline (or brain cells).

Redeeming the Future: Scott's Story
http://redeemingthefuture.blogspot.com/2008/11/scotts-story.html
Tuesday, November 11, 2008. The winter of 1996 will never be forgotten by two California families. One will remember with extreme joy; my family, with profound grief. At last, the family finally received news that a donor match was found for their daughter. That evening, the young girl underwent a transplant graft; one half of a healthy liver was attached to her failing liver. Within days, her liver regenerated, and she eventually made a complete recovery. After hours of surgery, the news carried the exc...

Dollahite Family: Sprinklers
http://dollahite.blogspot.com/2012/03/sprinklers.html
Friday, March 9, 2012. I joined in and ran and jumped in the sprinklers today with the kids. It was one of those fun moments of laughing and being silly that I wanted to cherish, but not ruin by running into the house to get the camera. Hence, no pics, just memories this time. It makes me remember that I love being a mom to these kids. When they get older, you should get a hold of some super soakers and have a full out water battle! March 12, 2012 at 7:25 PM. Monday, May 2, 2011. Nannie Pie and Zwieback. I love when my mom comes to visit. She loves to spoil the grandkids, and I, of course, benefit as well! When she came most recently, she helped me rearrange so that Titus and Annaliese now share a room. Rearranging furniture is one of my mom's favorite pastimes, so it worked out well for all of us. Here are Annaliese's bed and dresser. And Titus' crib and changing table all together in their room now. The playroom and baby place in the lower left corner.

After Noah got out of the bath this morning he pointed to his right nip*le and asked me: "Mommy, what is this bump? I asked him back: "What do you think it is? He said he didn't know and asked me again. I was really curious as to what he might think it was so I replied "Guess. What do you think it is? He looked at me quizically and responded: "It is a kiss? Saturday, April 23, 2011. The Last Thing We Talked About. I vividly remember the last day of my mother's life. As a family, we sat vigil around her hospital bed. Although she experienced few moments of consciousness when we were aware she was really with us. We shared precious words of love and gratitude for her life well-lived. We knew. It was her last day and these would be the last things we talked about with her, as her body finally could no longer support life. It was a precious time a holy time.
