Patrons and staff in the Bailet's dining room. It is possible as some historians have suggested that these interior photos were taken at the Cascade Tunnel Station beanery that was rebuilt after the February 1910 avalanche that destroyed the original facility. However the window and door locations do not correspond to the photos of that structure. Kitchen staff pose in what we believe to be the Hotel Bailets dining room. Note the sun on the bar front that helps suggest a directional orientation.

With the depot as a backdrop, a steam rotary snowplow clears a yard track. Large spinning fan blades pickup snow and propel it to one side of the track or the other. The direction of throw was controlled by the direction of the fan's rotation, which was controlled by the rotary's engineer. As part of the relationship, Snoqualmie is sending surplus firefighting equipment to that community located about 17 miles from Lima, Peru. To transport the gear from Snoqualmie to Peru, officials in both countries worked to arrange a visit from a Peruvian naval vessel.
