On our first visit the villagers told us the importance of education to the community. Many Maasai people are now embracing education knowing that it is essential for them if they are to be able to adapt to the changes going on around them, seek alternative livelihoods and to be able to stand up for their rights to clean water etc. To this end WTWT was asked to fund the building costs of preschools, whilst the community fund would pay for the teacher.
