Saturday, September 29, 2007. Still mending well. Rash is still present, but fading rapidly. Keeping track of all the medication, including doses at midnight and 4am, is confusing. Spirits are very high, though, and boredom is one of the biggest challenges. Priority now is also catching up with missed school work. High hopes for one more week and then return to school. Wednesday, September 26, 2007. We still don't know exactly set off the 24 hours of painful fits of burning skin that started on Monday. When I asked whether it might happen again, the doctor said he'd give us a prescription for Adavan, the sedative that knocked him out. So that was good news/bad news. We're also supposed to stay on the lookout for any return of the fever or any increase in the skin lesions. I'll keep posting daily for now. Arrgh As I'm writing this, he's starting to itch again.
