My Patchwork Life: Apr 8, 2014
http://vesuviusmama.blogspot.com/2014_04_08_archive.html
With what I have. Tuesday, April 8, 2014. Sunday and Monday are my days off. I was SO TEMPTED to go back to the shop to sew on the treadle some more - it's just that fun! But I didn't. Instead, I worked up my plan for summer camp at the shop, worked on some samples, and started a baby quilt. As for the baby quilt, I've got a major quilting crush on Deanna at http:/ weddingdressblue.wordpress.com/. Labels: self portrait quilt. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Please click here daily! My Patchwork Life: Aug 14, 2015
http://vesuviusmama.blogspot.com/2015_08_14_archive.html
With what I have. Friday, August 14, 2015. Perhaps it's because I've been sewing with the kids during Embroidery Camp this week, but whatever the reason, my quilting mojo is BACK! I've been exhausted when I get home each day, often in the shop from 8 AM til 7 PM, but no matter - once dinner is done, I've been heading down to my sewing room to work on quilts! First of all, I really want to make this quilt. For a friend's new baby. I happened upon some red and white anchor fabric and wham! Love, love, LOVE!

THE AVERAGE QUILTER: April 2015
http://averagequilter.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Quilting professionally or just for personal use is a rewarding art form being enhanced by the imagination of young and old. Wednesday, April 29, 2015. What can I say but .yeah I finally finished my quilt. This is why I haven't been posting much lately. I took alot of pictures trying to get the perfect shot. Still need to clip a few threads but it is finished. It probably wouldn't have taken so long if I hadn't had to work on it a little at a time. This was my 1st try at trapunto too. I know it's been aw...

With what I have. Saturday, April 12, 2014. Do you ever, inexplicably, put off finishing a project, and when you get back to it, you can't imagine why you didn't just finish before? That was me today, finally putting the borders on this pieced Dresden. I already had the pieced border pieced - why didn't I finish this before? I bet it took less than half an hour! Oh, and my Ohio Star selvedge quilt? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Please click here daily! Follow me by Email. The stuff I write about. Gene Blac...

With what I have. Wednesday, August 5, 2015. I have a wonderful, talented quilting friend who is doing a bit of de-stashing. She came into my shop yesterday and bestowed upon me the greatest of gifts for a scrap quilter like me - precut squares! A bin of 2.5" squares, one of 3" squares and a 2 gallon Baggie of 5" squares. Jackpot! I precut all my scraps into squares, but mine are NEVER this NEAT! How does she do it? In her header. I have a LONG way yet to go! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Follow me by Email.

With what I have. Saturday, April 5, 2014. I spent most of my day making a dozen crayon rolls. Waiting on customers, and helping two of the guys I recruited to Washington and Lee University sew nylon drawstring backpacks to take to the gym. They brought these kits with them and I helped them assemble. But every chance I got, I went to the window to work on my first treadle quilt. I am using the Fading Charms quilt. I am loving treadle sewing! Labels: Fading Charms Quilt. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A Qui...

My Patchwork Life: Mar 26, 2014
http://vesuviusmama.blogspot.com/2014_03_26_archive.html
With what I have. Wednesday, March 26, 2014. Slow day = Sew day. Despite the fact that the calendar read March 24 yesterday, it snowed ALL DAY LONG. My kids had no school. Many people chose to stay inside. It was a slow day at the shop. That didn't hurt my feelings one bit! I used the slow time to chat with the knitters who showed up to stitch together (it would take more than a snowstorm to keep them away from a Knit Together Tuesday! When I came home, dinner was ready (I love my crockpot! Green and cre...

Here are some badly taken, iPhone photos. They give you an sneak peek to the final product. I did some fabric printing, using items I had on hand. I can't wait to share the technique. It was super easy and opens up a lot of opportunities. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Sew Loved By You. Promote Your Page Too. Open House is on Saturday!
