From-Eva: Trim and Cabinets
http://from-eva.blogspot.com/2016/02/trim-and-cabinets.html
Monday, 22 February 2016. Bathroom texture had dried and we were now ready for wall paint and trim paint. They painted everything a bright white, including door and all baseboards and trim. It was such a refreshing sight to see everything looking so fresh and so clean. The brothers worked on the broken and rotting fascia on the roof and replaced a few random pieces of siding that needed some love. The exterior of the house was really coming together and just needed some pressure washing/sanding, and ...

Saturday, 30 August 2014. So food first, obviously. I had two cravings when I made it to BG from my *cough* 12 hour drive, and those were: Griff's Deli. See below), and Chaney's Dairy Barn ice cream. And just a few of downtown Bowling Green and my Alma Mater, WKU. Go tops! An excellent visit to catch up with friends and talk about wedding plans. Can't wait for my next visit in September. :). Thursday, 26 June 2014. Links to this post. I absolutely loved taking photographs of the Stinnett family. There were certainly lots of laughs along the way, which made my job easier. A few melt downs (those trains will get you all the time), but nothing this sweet family couldn't recover from. They're such a fun, silly lot and it was my pleasure to capture some moments for them. From-Eva: Refinished Floors
http://from-eva.blogspot.com/2016/03/refinished-floors.html
Saturday, 5 March 2016. The kitchen floor was my favorite. Over time, something had left huge black horizontal lines in the wood and so when he sanded them, they didn't sand out. And there's also some type of water leak that's left a stain. To me, that's the beautiful parts of the house, that show a little lived-in history. So we compromised, as every engaged couple does, and we went with the large square marble. Here is the hardie board down over the wood for the beginning stages of tiling. During the s...

I was sorting through my 11,000 images on my computer today and found these, taken on my film camera. I'm pretty positive that the film was five years old, which could account for the discoloration on some of them. They are random at best. 1 My feet. From-Eva: The Tour
http://from-eva.blogspot.com/2016/01/the-tour.html
Friday, 15 January 2016. I loved the closet, because clothes. But also, in college, a lot of my friends lived in old houses with little to no closet space. So I was shocked to find such a nice sized closet in 605. There were very promient humps in the floor as we walked around the house. My FIL said that it could be something to do with the foundation and we wouldn't really know if that were fixable until we could get under the house. Spoiler: later we found out those changes were not so cosmetic.].

Monday, 28 October 2013. So the State Fair of Texas is a big deal. Obviously, because everything in Texas is a big deal, but it certainly exceeded my preconceived-fairs-are-sticky-and-gross expectations. Roomie and I sat down with our planners and penciled in a nice Sunday afternoon fair date. The weather was less than ideal, but it was gonna take more than a sprinkling to dampen our spirits. We decided our best and cheapest option for getting to the fair was the DART. Guys.we rode the DART! After taking...

Tuesday, 29 April 2014. I'd been wanting to go to the Dallas Zoo. I held up my piece of lettuce over his mouth and kept moving the lettuce higher over his nose watching his tongue stretch out to reach for it. He figured out I was just a tease and moved on to the next person waving lettuce around. Smart animal. I finally got to see my elephants and was standing at the perfect spot to capture a lion strolling right up against the glass. God certainly designed some beautiful and intelligent animals.
