shilpi stories: February 2009
http://shilpipaul.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 6, 2009. Here is that facebook thing that has been floating around. I find it amazing. I'm so thrilled to see the honesty and compassion that comes through in the writing and sharing of these. Here's my version, for internet posterity. 1 I find number 1 to be the hardest one to fill out. 2 I love dancing, specifically alone, amongst people (you know what I mean). It makes me feel free and joyful. Actually, don't make anyone laugh when they're eating, even if they're not your relative!

Milk & Cookies Party – 1st Birthday | the hammond family
https://wearehammonds.wordpress.com/2012/06/25/milk-cookies-party-1st-birthday
Our journey – one photo at a time. Milk and Cookies Party – 1st Birthday. Here’s my quick recap of S’s 1st birthday… only about a month late. I did a TERRIBLE job of taking pics during the party! I guess when you’ve got a 3 year old and a 1 year old running around, snapping pics is not at the top of the to-do list. My hubby did get a few pics of the food table, so I’ve at least got those to post. Invitations (designed by yours truly):. Top left): Sprinkle rimmed cups! Top left): oreo pops! My favorites a...

The Bains: 01.2009
http://emanddavebains.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Christmas 2008 was a bit of a first for the Bains.our first Christmas without family around! Dave's vacation happened to be the week before Christmas, so we made the 11 hour drive to Alabama (after heavily drugging Sydney, of course) to spend time with both of our families. We had a great time visiting with friends and family and enjoyed the 70 degree weather! Back home in Cville for Christmas actually ended up being great! In other news, the Wilhoite family is gearing up for another wedding!

We're having a BABY! I'm thirteen weeks and due April 22. Of course we could not be more excited! Dave and I had been trying to conceive for quite some time, so I was ecstatic when I went to a doctor's appointment and she told me the good news! I have honestly never been so surprised in my life! And just to make things more interesting, my sister Marion is getting married May 29! So there will be another guest at the wedding - a newborn! We will have our hands full that weekend, so wish us luck!

Matt's visit to Cville. Matt came to visit us in Charlottesville a few weeks ago and we had a great time! Poor Matt - both times he has come to visit we have been moving so he has been forced to help us move twice. We did try to do some fun things while he was here. We went out to dinner with friends to celebrate Lindsey's birthday, hiked Humpback Rocks, and Dave and Matt finally convinced me to eat Indian food and I loved it! I admit it. :) Sydney definitely appreciated Matt's visit! Me and the hubby.

Life of Birdie: October 2010
http://lifeofbirdie.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 21, 2010. I have always felt that if one saw a list of my hobbies, they could assume that I am elderly. Now, with arthritis, I apparently have the health problems to go along with this :) I also had shingles when I was in grad school. How many in the under 30's age group can boast such a medical history? I must've misheard. Nope. That's right folks, there is a shot made from rooster comb - the weird thing on top of the head - and it is currently in my knee. Wowza. Links to this post.
